Having spent his most formative years growing up in New Haven, Zero could always see that the place was wildly out of control; however, after having recently returned from deployment, he found himself asking one question repeatedly: "Was it always this bad?" Never aloud, but like a broken record, the question ceaselessly looped in his mind for days upon his return. And soon enough, others followed from the same place... Were the gangsters always this bold? Was the police department always this afraid? Was the district attorney always this helpless? Were the streets always this filthy?
The answer to all those questions is, of course not! But all things adapted to the changing times, and what were previously street-level threats had gained the capacity to level entire cities in some cases thanks to the effects of the Blue Night. Seemingly overnight, every street clique and organized crime family with a little cash to spend suddenly had access to these superpowered contract killers capable of neutralizing an entire precinct. Gone were the days when a police siren was enough to make criminals flee. No, the inmates were running the asylum now.
Armed only with his special forces training, his honeycomb carbon fiber plate armor, and a few nonlethal weapons, Zero has sworn to clean up the filthy streets of New Haven. One by one, he'll put fear back into the hearts of the city's scum, just as he had while deployed to assist friendly governments in their efforts to clean up their streets.
